A garden matures with time when plants flourish slowly within. Sometimes, certain elements are introduced as thresholds and counterpoint with its architecture. In this case, we attempted to create a landscape of gravitas in layered raw concrete – constructed to weather gracefully with time akin to its softscape – consisting of a series of walls and a long bench in the gravel courtyards that resemble rammed earth.
Along with distinct trees that rustle in the wind and white jasmine that flowers at night, refreshing the air with its fragrance, a distilled softness permeates with richness in an otherwise austere landscape. This co-exists in harmony and quiet contrast to the humble black & white villa.
