An alfresco in a cluster development called for a need to screen for privacy while maintaining a sense of porosity in the neighbourhood. The simple use of cattails grown on hydroponics results in an effective and light veil, while a hydroculture green wall packs a punch to break the monotony of the long verandah. An aquatic pond is slid under master bay window, allowing little fishes to hide, the window to float, and waterlilies to flower at dawn.
