Sandy River Teahouse
The teahouse takes reference from three basic elements- the corporate logo, proximity to Shahe and notion of a verandah bridge. An entrance pavilion is created as an opportunity for signage, drop-off and visual barrier into the fore court of the restaurant. It also frames the garden as a semi-public space wherein a path is placed to float and zig-zag through a white meadow – evoking an experience of crossing a bridge of a traditional Chinese garden.
